Here are Lloyd's "Five Rules For Life":

1.) Be a people person.
You won't go far in life if you shut yourself off from the outside world. Networking, making friends, and playing well with others will aide you in accomplishing your goals. Meet and befriend as many people as you can - you never know which ones will help you in life. And treat others well - when you least expect it they will return the favor.

2.) Your habits control you - so learn to control your habits.
We are creatures of habit, and if our habits are smoking, eating too much, and being lazy we will not accomplish much in life. Develop good habits, and see how your luck changes. Eat healthy, read a lot, rise early, work hard.

3.) Honesty is the best policy.
When you lie, you expend more time and energy trying to deal with it than if you told the truth. We have all done this - who did you tell what to, and what did you tell them? It is hard work. Just tell the truth instead.

4.) Don't spend time worrying about things you can't control.
So many things are out of our control, and there is nothing we can do about them. Instead of worrying about what other people are doing, what might happen to us next week or next year, or if the economy is going to get worse - spend your time and energy focusing on what you can control.

5.) Take risks.
Yes, you are bound to fail. But we all learn from our failures. I would rather take risks and fail repeatedly than reach the end of my life and look back only to say "I wish I had tried to do that...".
